US Holds off Angola by 55

In the first round of the 2010 FIBA World Basketball Championships, the US, led by Chauncey Billups' 19 points on 5-7 shooting, jumped out to a 20 point first quarter lead to hold off Angola. Luanda Guard, Carlos Morais, didn't help the Angolans by contributing a 1-10 performance topped off with his 14th straight missed three in FIBA competition. The Angolans knew they were in trouble when Tyson Chandler appeared on the court and it wasn't to shake hands after the game.

  1. Where is the DBSF Sportsdesk coverage of the 9/2/10 thriller between Tunisia and the U.S.?

I guess the DBSF Style section will have to take the lead on this.

"Outworked and outhustled, the Americans led winless Tunisia by only four points early in the third quarter..."

I guess I should mention the U.S. had nothing to play for and tried to get Tunisia to forfeit before the game and I should give the rest of the above quote.

...before turning the game into a rout over the final 15 minutes of a 92-57 victory Thursday."
